Diego López: "I'm really happy with what we Valencia CF players are contributing to the Spanish national team"
The Valencia CF forward is through to the U21 EURO quarter-finals
Ten Valencia CF legends, the majority former captains of the club, spoke to VCF Media this week to praise the club’s current skipper, Dani Parejo, on a milestone in his career. The midfielder broke into the Top 10 for appearances for VCF when he played against Atalanta in the Champions League, and with his most recent game against Real Sociedad overtook Fernando Giner for the outright tenth spot.
Parejo has played 370 official games in a Valencia CF shirt. Also in the Top 10 are Fernando Gómez, Ricardo Arias, David Albelda, Miguel Ángel Angulo, Santi Cañizares, Enrique Saura, Pep Claramunt, Carlos Arroyo and the late Manolo Mestre, who passed away in 2008.
The other members of the Top 10 -along with Mestre’s son, José Enrique- were joined by Giner in congratulating Parejo on his latest achievement, earned in his ninth season at the club.
Welcoming Parejo to their exclusive group, they expressed their pride in the captain, and also wished him plenty more games in a Valencia CF shirt over the coming years.
See what they had to say about Dani Parejo in VCF Media's video compilation of their messages.
